Drone shows have become a growing trend, offering a visually striking and sustainable proposal, different from traditional fireworks. Flock Drone Art has been at the forefront of this industry, performing more than 200 shows throughout the peninsula, the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands in just four years. Currently, it is working with swarms of up to 300 drones and preparing shows with more than 500 aircraft for this year.

Drone shows, the new mass events
In 2019, five entrepreneurs came together to unite the two passions they had in common: art and technology. This is the origin of the startup Flock Drone Art, a company based in Girona, Barcelona and Madrid. In the last four years, the company has signed some of the shows with the largest audience that have been held in Spain. Its fleet of 300 self-designed drones perform unique aerial choreographies of music and light in shows designed to the millimeter.

Last year, Flock Drone Art brought together more than 700,000 people in more than twenty events held in cities such as Barcelona, Madrid, Gijón, Lloret de Mar or Bilbao, among many other locations. According to Fran Arnau, this success lies in the fact that more and more town councils and public and private entities are betting on the inclusion of drone shows in the tourist and cultural offerings of their localities.

Flock Drone Art is also responsible for the first international drone festival, the Drone Show Festival, which this year celebrated its third edition with a new traveling format that included the participation of companies from the United States, France and the Netherlands specialized in performing shows with drones.
