The third edition of the Flock Drone Art drone festival goes international
With a new traveling format, the Drone Show Festival will be held in different cities on the peninsula and with an eye on other European countries. In July it will take place in Gijón and Lloret de Mar and companies from six countries will participate.
The Spanish company Flock Drone Art presents an evolution of the festival that it has held in the last two years in Lloret de Mar, and that will offer shows with 200 drones compared to 100 in previous editions.
July 2023.- Flock Drone Art, a leading Spanish company in hosting shows with drones, has announced the third edition of its international drone festival, a pioneering proposal that will show creations with swarms of 200 drones by the best audiovisual artists. of all the world. The new traveling format will allow these massive events to be taken to different European cities, starting with Spain. According to the co-founder and CEO of Flock Drone Art, Fran Arnau, the new Drone Show Festival will be the first international competition dedicated to the art of drones.
The first city to host the festival will be Gijón on July 14 and 15, and it will be officially presented on Thursday, July 13 at an event to be held in the Asturian city (indicate location of the press conference). The second stop will take place in Lloret de Mar on July 28, 29 and 30. In 2021 and 2022, Flock Drone Art has already held two editions of a festival in this town on the Costa Brava that brought together more than 50 thousand people in each of them. This experience, together with other events held last year in different Spanish locations, have made the festival evolve towards this new proposal. "In 2022 we will bring together more than 100,000 people in Gijón with our ECO show of 100 drones, being the most viewed live drone show in the country." Arnau adds that the objective is to take these shows on a traveling basis to cities with artistic sensitivity. “The DSF is an ideal tool to promote or enhance tourism in any medium or large-sized city.”
Internationally renowned competition
Thanks to the drawing power of these shows, the Drone Show Festival was born with an international vocation and with the aim of becoming the world's leading event in the sector. In this third edition of the festival, this potential is consolidated with the participation of companies from six countries: Spain, the United States, the Netherlands, Portugal and France.
Its organizing company, Flock Drone Art, belongs to the international community of drone show producers and actively collaborates with the International Drone Show Competition, which this year has created a new nomination for its contest in which the main prize will be the participation in the Drone Show Festival. Regarding its internationalization, Fran Arnau foresees that in the coming years more cities in European countries will join the network of festival venues due to their great capacity to attract audiences.
Leisure and culture opt for drone events
Thanks to its large-format shows, Flock Drone Art has become one of the leading companies in the use of drones in mass events. In the last two years it has held more than 100 shows, making these shows one of the big bets in the coming years for public and private institutions that request this service for their events. The Spanish company's shows have toured Spain, bringing together hundreds of thousands of people and have received international awards and recognition.
