Last Friday, April 18, the bay of Sant Feliu de Guíxols became a celestial stage with the opening show of the festival LumLab 2025 of the Sant Feliu de Guíxols Town Hall : «4Elements x 120 – La Llum de Garreta», a creation of Flock Drone Art Studio.
With 120 synchronized drones, the show paid tribute to the composer Ganxó Juli Garreta, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of his birth and the centenary of his deathThis montage combined technology and art to represent the four natural elements —air, water, earth and fire— with luminous figures that illuminated the night sky.
When the tribute to began Juli Garreta, with the drones drawing shapes and figures to the rhythm of their music, the audience could not contain their excitement. Exclamations of “WOW" and effusive applause that filled the bay with Sant Feliu de GuíxolsIt was a magical, shared moment, where the combination of light, sky, and music connected in a special way with the audience, becoming one of the most memorable moments of the evening.
According to the Girona Newspaper, the show was one of the ten outstanding proposals of the festival, which transformed the city into a vibrant space of light and color. Flock Drone Art Studio, who had already participated in previous editions, wanted to highlight his emotional connection with the city and his will to create a unique visual and sensory experience.
He LumLab 2025 was celebrated from April 18-20, with a program full of art installations and activities that occupied different spaces in the city, both indoors and outdoors, consolidating themselves as a a leading festival in the world of light and digital art.
